26 August 2005 - It is hoped that the
difficulties with email to AOL users has now been resolved.
22 August 2005 - Banner advertising rates
have been reduced. More
18 August 2005 - There is currently a
problem for users of AOL. AOL have introduced extreme measures to prevent spam,
unfortunately this is also blocking some legitimate emails to AOL users. If you
have registered or are listed with an AOL address you may not receive any email.
We are talking with AOL to solve this.
A Blog will shortly be introduced for all
registered users (Watch this space).
15 August 2005 - Over the last few days
most listed practitioners and services have been written to requesting financial
support to maintain this service. This is the first time in 5 years that
payments have been requested in order to maintain this service.
08 August 2005 - Further improvements
have been made for registered users. Also the navigation at Metta has been
updated and improved. Any comments are welcome, please use the feedback page
(There is a link at the bottom of every page)
25 July 2005 - Some major changes have
been implemented to improve updating of listings, events and classified ads.
Registered users can now
view all entries from one page. (Work will continue to
include older entries within this improved service)
17 July 2005 - The
listing search has been improved and updated to
include more search options and include other areas of the site. Further
improvements will be made shortly.
11 July 2005 - To improve security and
protect against spam all listing email addresses have been replaced with an
email contact form. We hope this will provide protection and make contacting
the listed therapists, teachers, and centres easier and more direct.
28 June 2005 - The User Registration
area has finally been repaired. Small Ads and
member registrations can now be updated. Event
and Listing updates are still off line. Sorry for any inconvenience while this
work is completed. PS. To Date Metta.org.uk has received well over
24 million hits!

Yoga Forum layout changed to move
towards archiving older posts, further improvements will follow shortly.
17 June 2005 - To help maintain this
service metta is now able to accept payments and donations via PayPal. It
is hoped that this will help to cover the cost of providing this service. To
make credit card donations
and payments for services on line.
06 June 2005 - A free to download book
has been added to the Yoga Section. The Book
Hatha
Yoga by Yogi Ramacharaka was first published in 1904! The book is in
pdf format and comes in A4 and A5 format for easy printing.

03 March 2005 - Links have been added to
most areas of Metta to allow visitors to make donations in support of Red
Nose Day 2005 - The Comic Relief Charity until the 12 March 2005.
02 March 2005 - A number of small
improvements have been made to enhance the speed and performance of databases.
There continue to be small but significant outstanding difficulties which need
to be resolved where registered users have been unable to update
Events and other records, this also applied to the
editing of Forum entries. Work continues to find a way of
resolving these.

Recent publicity saw the number of visitors at Metta peak at
over 3,500 visitors in one day, that's over 10,000 page views in
one day. The server coped well considering all this equates to
around 100,000 hits in a day. So the basic server upgrade late last year was a
lucky benefit as the old server was struggling to cope.
