kids yoga - london   welephant wrote on 26 July 2010   I just finished a children's yoga teaching training course and wanted to try and share the experience with you. a rich and powerful way of teaching yoga to children of all ages, divided into various age groups, and goes through every aspect of teaching yoga to children, the emphasis being on having fun!!! How to capture the children's attention and make them want to learn more, avoiding discipline problems.. Games and many many ways of getting children to stay longer in the positions, to get to know their bodies to meet other children, ways of working with their breath, and to slowly learn to appreciate “quiet time”.. I would strongly advice this brief but intense course to anyone who would like to teach yoga to children, perhaps who have tried, but thought it too difficult. Children don't learn the same way as adults! In 3 days we learnt an incredible amount and had so much fun!
