Have you contacted the group trying to get going in Brighton, they might help, also Gaia House has a list of people who have regular sitting groups around the country.

Hi Nick,
Hope you don't mind my contacting you.
After reading your entry on this site in 2006 for mediatation in Eastbourne,I wanted to see what you think about the following and whether or not it's of intrest to you or not...
I am putting out 'feelers' for a small venture I'm endeavouring to start over the next few months (if enough support is shown for it). I've been coming sea swimming in Eastbourne for the whole summer-its been wonderful!!Feel like I've only just discovered Sussex's coast after living in here for 20yrs! I'd never have appreciated how therapeutic the ocean is,what a special energy it delivers and how rhythmic and lulling even a ferocious sea can be, in all its white horse rollers and breakers.
It struck me, that this would be a most inspirational/aspirational place to hold a meditation meeting. You can't get healthier or closer to nature, sure, the beach will leave its mark on you given half the chance but sat on something firm, with warm clothing and a flask of something steamy will combat all of Eastbourne's winter offerings, I felt.
You sound of some experience yourself and I have practised for a few years also. I just wanted to see if it were possible to gather a few like-minded souls, with a compatible collective consciousness and enjoy this wonderful season and seaside with others of a simialr ilk as mine.
Any feedback is greatly appreciated on what your findings were, if you know of anyone who might be intrested etc.
Yours truely sincerely and gratefully,
Laura

Hello, whilst not a practicing Buddhist, I'd like to re-start my meditation practice, and I live 250 yards from the sea in Eastbourne. I love the idea of an all-year round meditation group (thermals necessary I reckon for this time of year!). Do contact me, Laura, if you'd like to.

World As Lover, World As Self includes an introduction by Thich Nhat Hanh.
